    CHAPTER TWO.

"Calm down babe, I'm just worried about you, you don't have to yell". Oluwashindara said to her.
Tioluwanimi, realizing how her reaction was not good enough, apologized to her, "I'm sorry babe I'm just overwhelmed with the situation I'm in right now"
"Nimi, tell me what's wrong with you, what exactly is going on? " Shindara asked.
"hmmmm", Tioluwanimi sighed deeply and afterward narrated all that transpired between her and Oluwafirefunmi.
After hearing what had happened from Tioluwanimi, Shindara was so livid, she couldn't understand how Oluwafirefunmi could behave as such.
"He's a coward!" She said angrily. "How could he behave like that?
Okay, babe what do you intend to do? How will you inform the rest of your family?"
"Honestly I still do not know, but regardless I'll have to announce it to them, regardless of how difficult it will be". Tioluwanimi said.
"Okay it's well, anyhow it goes, let me know. And if you ever need my help, do not hesitate to let me know, I'll do my best to be of help" Shindara said to Tioluwanimi.
"Thank you so much Shindara, for being a dear friend, I appreciate it, thank you".
Tioluwanimi left and headed home to inform her family of her situation. Filled with apprehension, she got to the door of her house and took deep breaths to calm her nerves.
Entering inside, she saw her parents sitting and watching TV.
She took a few moments to gather her courage and then spoke up, "Mum, Dad, I have something to tell you both". She said.
"Oh really, what is it that you want to tell us?" Her mom asked in response to her statement.
Tioluwanimi sat down and then started to narrate all that had transpired and her current situation.
After listening to what she said, both her parents **** quiet, not knowing how to react to the situation.
After a few minutes, her mom spoke up, "Now that it's like this, what do you intend to do now, Tioluwanimi? "
" Mom, I want to keep this child. I know that having a child is no joke, but I'll keep this pregnancy". Nimi said.
Afterward, her dad spoke up, "Tioulwanimi, if I say we're not disappointed in you, then I'm lying. We didn't expect this from you. It shouldn't be you such incident be heard from. But as it stands, what has happened has already happened, may God see you through your pregnancy, and you'll deliver safely. As for Oluwafirefunmi, I do not want to see him, neither do I want to hear of his name at all in this house". We'll take care of you and your child to the fullest ". He said.
Kneeling on her knees, crying profusely, she thanked her parents and assured them that she'd do all in her might to make them proud, and not disappoint them ever again.
Tioluwanimi braced herself, ready for the negative talks and rejection she knew would come after news of her being pregnant out of wedlock, both in church and around her workplace. She knew it was going to be a tough phase for her, but she was going to scale through it at the end of it all.

  • HARMONY OF HEARTS

Tioluwanimi, is a vibrant, active lady, widely known for her charisma, modesty, and respectful nature.
Tioluwanimi was known for her steadfastness towards God's work. She was known for her unwavering faith and her angelic voice that echoed through the walls of the church every Sunday.

Tioluwanimi's dedication to the church was matched only by her love for music. She sang with the choir, her voice intertwining seamlessly with the melodies that filled the sacred space. It was here that she met Oluwafirefunmi, the talented and charismatic choirmaster.

As the weeks went by, Tioluwanimi and Oluwafirefunmi's voices blended in perfect harmony, both in music and in their growing affection for each other. Their shared love for worship and song deepened their connection, and before long, they found themselves drawn to one another outside the walls of the church.

However, their newfound love was not without its challenges. Tioluwanimi knew that becoming pregnant out of wedlock was against the doctrines of their church. She grappled with the weight of her secret, torn between the love she felt for Oluwafirefunmi and the fear of judgment from people she held dear to her.

When Tioluwanimi mustered the courage to confide in Oluwafirefunmi, he too felt the weight of their predicament. As the choirmaster, he was not only entrusted with leading the congregation in worship but also held to a higher standard in the eyes of the community. The thought of tarnishing his image filled him with apprehension.

This thought made him decide that they **** going to go through an abortion process as he could not afford to have his reputation tarnished. "How will I be able to face my subordinates?" He kept thinking in his mind.

"No ! No!! No!!! Tioluwanimi, you'll have to abort this pregnancy we can't afford to bring a child into this world right now". He said to her.

"What? What do you mean by abortion? No way Firefunmi, I'm not going through this evil thought of yours. Fine people will speak and have negative things to say, but please Firefunmi, it's not the end of the world, please I beg you, have a change of heart regarding this decision of yours, I can't go through with it." She tried convincing him.

But Oluwafirefunmi had his mind made up already, there was no way he was going to be ridiculed, sanctioned, or mocked. He wasn't going to have it happen to him. The pregnancy just can't stay. With this thought in mind, he shouted at her, "Fine! If you want to go ahead keeping this pregnancy, then know that I cease to know you nor have anything to do with you as from henceforth, there's no way all of my efforts will be jeopardized over some little act, absolutely no way. At this point, Tioluwanimi was already crying profusely, "How can you? Firefunmi, how dare you? How can you do this to me? This is a responsibility meant for us to bear together, but you rather push it all on me? "
" It's you, you want to be Mother Theresa" Taking a deep breath, Oluwafirefunmi, tries explaining to her calmly " Tioluwanimi, listen to me, we just can't afford to have this child, look at all the mockery, shame and snide looks we'll be getting if this gets out, why not try reason from how I'm reasoning, hmmm Nimi?"
" This is not enough reason to commit such atrocity, what if I die in the process? What if I become unable to conceive again? Are you thinking about the repercussions at all? Do you think there's any sin that will go unpunished? Firefunmi, answer me!! " She yelled at him.

"I'm not having this conversation anymore, I'm out, do whatever pleases you, I'm not changing my mind regarding my stance on this issue, whatever you decide to do other than what I have proposed, then deal with it yourself. " He walked away, leaving her all to herself.
Tioluwanimi fell to her knees weeping as she couldn't muster the strength to stand anymore, Lost as to what to do, she remained at the spot for several minutes until late before getting up and heading back to her place walking mindlessly, she no idea her friend had sighted her, and noticed her mood was off. Her friend Oluwashindara, called out to her but she did not hear her, not until Oluwashindara tapped her before she noticed her.
"Tioluwanimi, what's wrong? It's very unusual for you to walk without being conscious of your surroundings, what weighing down on your mind, care to share?" But Tioluwanimi just shook her head telling her not to worry she's fine.
" Are you sure, you don't seem fine? " Shindara asked.
" Oluwashindara leave me alone! I said I'm fine, how's that hard to understand?" She ended up yelling at her friend, Oluwashindara.

  • PEACEFUL DISASTER
    20.10.20

What ought to have been a peaceful protest, what ought to have achieved a peaceful response, alas, was turned into a painful, worst nightmare to many homes and families.
Happy souls and individuals who had bid home goodbye, with the assurance of coming back home, only to never set foot back into the house.
Multitudes gathered together in one voice, coming together in unity, and oneness canvassing for a better life and proper treatment.
What did they get? Leaders who are meant to be protectors of them, the so-called acclaimed "we're after the betterment of the lives of the people", cannot and still did not explain how a peaceful protest, turned out into a massacre. How lives **** lost, properties destroyed, wives turned widows, mothers becoming childless, husbands being rendered crippled/handicapped suddenly.
Various questions **** asked and are still being asked, howbeit, no answers. The defenders of lives and properties, cannot give a valid reason as to why they became so defenseless in safeguarding the lives of the people.
    Who gave the directives?
Why was such a direction given?
Where is the protection of human rights?
Why do evil deeds always prevail over goodness?
Many unanswered questions, all left to the imagination of those who dare to ask.
"Nigeria the giant of Africa" is it?
" The labor of our heroes past, isn't it in vain? All their struggles and efforts where is the result?
"To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign", is justice reigning?

  • I watched the movie "Scripted in the Stars" Pastor Timmy did pass a deep message with the role he played in the movie. And that's that as believers, compromising on one's beliefs and ethics shouldn't be a go-to. Regardless of how hopeless the situation may seem to be, never compromise on your stand of faith. An individual going through a dire financial situation is not enough reason to indulge in illegitimate means of getting financial liberation, neither is giving in to earthly pressure, but to rather put it to the Lord in prayer, and consistently while diligently having something worthwhile at hand, yes the Lord will bless the work of our hands, but for that blessings to come, one needs to have something doing at hand.

Keep believing, continue being diligent, and never give up on your faith in him, trouble may last for the night, but behold joy comes in the morning.

  • From Ashes to Glory.

In a small buzzy countryside, there lived a woman named Eliza. Her life had been filled with series of pains, inflictions, constant reminder of her painful past and mistakes. The weight of her past hung heavy on her shoulders, casting a shadow over her days.

One fateful evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Eliza found herself standing at the edge of a cliff, gazing out at the expanse of the darkening sea. The waves crashed against the rocks below, their relentless rhythm echoing the turmoil in her heart.

In that moment, a str unoanger appeared, his presence a glimmer of hope amidst the encroaching darkness. His eyes held a kindness that seemed to pierce through the shroud of Eliza's despair.

Are you lost, dear one?" he inquired gently.

Eliza hesitated, but something in the stranger's demeanor gave her the courage to speak. She poured out her heart, recounting the mistakes of her past, the pain she carried, and the sense of hopelessness that had become her constant companion.

The stranger listened intently, his gaze never leaving hers. When she had finished, he spoke with a voice as steady as the waves below.

"Your past does not define you, Eliza. There is a wellspring of hope that flows within you, waiting to be unearthed. It is never too late for redemption." He said.

With those words, the stranger extended his hand, inviting Eliza to take a step forward. It was a step into the unknown, a leap of faith.

Together, they embarked on a journey of healing and transformation. Through the pages of scripture, Eliza discovered stories of redemption, of lives transformed by grace. She began to see that her own story, though scarred, held the potential for beauty and purpose.

As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, Eliza's heart began to bloom like a long-forgotten garden. She found solace in prayer, strength in community, and the courage to face her past with newfound resolve.

One day, as the sun painted the sky in hues of gold and pink, Eliza stood on that same cliff where her journey had begun. This time, there was no darkness, only the promise of a new day.

With a heart full of gratitude, she turned to the stranger who had become her guide, her beacon of hope. "You have shown me the way to redemption," she whispered.

The stranger smiled, his eyes sparkling with a warmth that seemed to light up the world. "It was always within you, dear Eliza. You are a testament to the power of hope and the boundless grace that awaits us all.

Note: only by being in Christ, can one find peace, redemption, salvation, hope and eternal life. Come to him,run into his warm embrace,a life without Christ is in crisis.

Come to him,run into his warm embrace,a life without Christ is in crisis. ©️ Erule Elizabeth Ayomide #midewrites ✍️ #theepistlewriter #hope #HopeInChrist #redemption #redeemed #Godsredemption

  • Dearly Beloved,

    A SPECIAL INVITATION

    Halleluyah!

Greetings to you in the name of the Lord - Jesus Christ.

It delights our spirit to put out this special invitation for the 2023 National Sisters' Retreat to you, dearly beloved.

This retreat will be held at CCC Parish 1, Warri, Delta State btw Fri, 20th - Sun 22nd Oct, 2023, and the Lord desires to present you to himself more righteously as you awaits His glorious return.

It is for this reason He gave us this exalted theme: *The Refiners' Fire* - Malachi 3:2-3. It is the Father's intention to bring you closer to Himself but not without your purification - taking you through the fire as gold is being taking through the refiners' fire for the separation of what is good from the bad.

To register, simply click on the link below: www.cccyouth.org/sisters

We look forward to seeing you. Make plans ahead of this meeting.

    God bless you!
